GARLIC BRAAI BREAD

  GARLIC BRAAI BREAD:   Ingredients: 1 baguette, about 40 cm long 1/4 cup butter, softened. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 cup grated Cheddar/Parmesan cheese   Instructions:   1.     Preheat your grill or oven to medium heat. 2.     In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, salt, and pepper. 3.     Spread the garlic butter mixture all in cuts made about 2cm apart and 3/4 through or over the baguette, making sure to get into all the nooks and crannies. 4.     Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top. 5.     If you are grilling the bread, wrap in aluminum foil and then place it on the grill directly over the heat. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the bread is go lden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. 6.     If you are baking the bread, wrap it in aluminum foil and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is heated through and the cheese are melted and bubbly. 7.     Serve hot and enjoy Tips:   For a more intense garlic

PANCAKES

PANCAKE


 INGREDIENTS:

2 cups cake flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon of salt

2 eggs

1 & 1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons of melted butter

Cinnamon and sugar mixture to sprinkle over.

Vegetable oil to grease the pan.


 INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

2. Whisk together the eggs, milk and melted butter in a separate bowl.

3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and beat until just combined.

Do not overmix.

4. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Grease the pan with a little vegetable oil.

5. Pour about a 1/4 cup batter on the hot pan for each pancake. cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

6. Sprinkle each one with cinnamon powder and sugar mixture while baking and place flat in a bowl with a lid on or use 2 plates.

7. Roll up pancakes when they are all baked.

8. Serve immediately.

Tips:

a) To make sure your pancake is thin and even, use a 1/4 cup measuring cup or large soup spoon to pour the batter onto the pan.

b) If you are making a savory pancake, add your fillings to the batter before pouring it onto the pan.

c) To prevent your pancake from sticking to the pan, make sure the pan is hot before adding the batter.

d) You can also grease the pan with a little butter or cooking spray.
